ALPINE EAGLE FLYING TOURBILLON Chopard

ALPINE EAGLE FLYING TOURBILLON Chopard

ALWAYS HIGHER

This new reference surpasses the collection with its high-flying mechanical qualities and its admirable finishing. A double certification crowns the manufacturer’s work.

“Fly like an eagle…” crooned by the Steve Miller Band at the end of the 1970s encourages us to let go, to embrace life more lightheartedly… Watchmaking excellence can also participate in the reverie. One only has to admire the elegant gyrations of the regulating organ in the Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon watch by Chopard. As if escaping from gravity, it moves delicately at 6 o’clock inside a blue coloring obtained through a galvanic treatment. A radiant pattern emerges from its cage, where the small second-hand movement comes to life, radiating the entire dial. The hour and minute hands, coated with Super-LumiNova X1®, revolve on this refined arrangement. The pairing points to an hour circle with a design characteristic of the collection, composed of markers and Roman numerals.

The ensemble is housed in a slim case measuring 41mm in diameter and 8mm thick, machined from Lucent Steel A223, an alloy developed by the manufacturer distinguished by its intense brilliance. The latter also protects the powerful automatic caliber designed with 189 parts. Thanks to the Chopard Twin technology devised by means of two superimposed cylinders, and to its rewinding by gold micro-rotor, it ensures the timepiece has 65 hours of power reserve. Its precise chronometry is certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC). As for the quality of its workmanship, it is highlighted by the Poinçon de Genève. To take off in a sporty-chic fashion, the Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon comes with a perfectly integrated steel wristband.
