SPRING IS COMING
After the success of its new muse last year, the Le Locle-based manufacture is taking up this modern design to create a version with smaller dimensions, with or without diamonds, and introducing two soft colors to mark the arrival of spring.
Driven by a hyper-creative impulse for a little over five years, the dynamic Zenith never ceases to surprise us with each new product that leaves its workshops. Always in perfect harmony with its rich heritage, it introduced in 2022 a steel watch, a future classic with a heady note of urban modernity, which was an immediate success: the Defy Skyline model. This year, the Le Locle-based brand has created a smaller version that is easy to wear on any occasion, and is taking advantage of the arrival of spring to offer two new fresh and tender colors.
Identical to its “big sister” unveiled last year, the watch has a structured steel silhouette, water-resistant to a depth of 100m, that combines an octagonal case 36mm in diameter with a faceted bezel, which is available in a variant trimmed with 52 brilliant-cut diamonds, thus preserving an updated Seventies spirit. This metal case houses the Elite 670 caliber, a proven automatic movement that delivers approximately 50 hours of power reserve once fully wound via its star-shaped oscillating weight.
Stars are actually the aesthetic signature of the Defy Skyline‘s dial, forming a fine tapestry on the round plate, which is tinted in midnight blue, candy pink or apple green, with a sunburst finish. The hours, minutes and seconds are indicated at the center by two luminescent baton hands and a second hand, while the date appears harmoniously at 3 o’clock in white or black, depending on the reference chosen.
This new Zenith is worn on a bracelet with large steel links or in textured rubber that match the dial, both closed by a folding clasp.
