A MASTERPIECE OF ROCK’N’ROLL ENERGY
This exclusive partnership is a way of thanking Laurent Picciotto for his unwavering support from the day the Geneva-based brand was created up to the recent opening of the first MB&F LABs.
Rock, watches with fantastic personality, originality. That’s one of the rules of 3 for Laurent Picciotto. His Chronopassion boutique has become the must-go-to Parisian haunt for anyone on a quest to find a timepiece boasting offbeat style and a caliber imagined totally in line with the rules of the craft. Besides his undying love for one-of-a-kind pieces, the charismatic seller also has an incredible passion for electric guitars. What’s more, he strums them with great talent. These two realms infuse MB&F’s new creation the LMX Paris Edition. In a nutshell, the purple hue of the dial plate alludes to one of the biggest British rock bands and one that he adores, Deep Purple. Thanks to its sunray finish, light gifts this edition, limited to just 15 pieces, with random iridescent glints.
A large 13.4 mm regulating device reigns supreme under its arch beneath the impressive sapphire-crystal dome inside the 44 mm-diameter white gold case. Below, two time zones are read on two separate tilted lacquered discs. The crown, placed at 10 o’clock, sets one of them, whilst its counterpart at 2 adjusts the other. The highly-original power reserve indicator completes the scenography. It informs the wearer of the level of energy left out of the 168 hours proposed by the hand-wound movement equipped with three barrels. And, there’s an option to select between two display modes: one numbered, the other using the first letter of the days of the week. The ensemble makes the LMX Paris Edition just as spellbinding as the well-known introduction to the legendary Smoke on the Water!
