HYDROCONQUEST GTM 43 MM Longines

HYDROCONQUEST GTM 43 MM Longines

HERE AND ELSEWHERE

With its new size, this nomadic-tuned timepiece is more conspicuous on the wrist, whether it’s worn with its metal bracelet or optional rubber strap.

Since 2007, the HydroConquest collection has been adding references that are just as much at home on land as deep in the depths of the ocean. Last year, Longines rolled out a highly-elegant, sporty upgrade for travelers, the HydroConquest GMT created around a 41 mm-diameter case. And now, the winged-hourglass brand has just unveiled a variation boasting a 43 mm holder and screwed caseback. These two extra millimeters mean data display is even clearer. On the green, black or blue sunburst-finished dials, the hour and minute hands, along with the GMT one, recognizable with its triangular tip, and the lollipop-styled direct-drive hover over the hour chapter and the 24-hour scale which runs round the flange. And, to ensure information is ever-so easy to read in any situation, all the elements in this well-spaced scenography are topped with Super-LumiNova®.

These novel variations are still guaranteed waterproof to depths of 300 meters, and still feature a unidirectional rotating notched bezel with ceramic insert and screwed crown. All these characteristics ensure these watches are real divers. The L844.5 caliber, equipped with a silicon balance spring which makes it insensitive to magnetic fields, accurately drives all the data, including the date. This selfwinding movement provides these timepieces with a comfortable power reserve of 72 hours. Perfect autonomy for straddling time zones with total peace of mind without losing your bearings.
