RECYCLING: THE WINNING STREAK
The manufacture once again illustrates its know-how when it comes to mastering materials in this limited series with a case created using recycled gear.
Novak Djokovic, a member of the Hublot family since 2021, boasts one of the greatest track records to date with 24 Grand Slam wins to his credit. This tennis player’s fighting spirit and talent make him an incredible opponent. With the Big Bang Unico Djokovic watch, Hublot infuses this limited series with a bit of this extraordinary sportsman. The sturdy yet light 42 mm-diameter case, waterproof to depths of 100 meters, and the bezel are actually fashioned using a matte blue, epoxy resin-based composite material made by recycling 32 Lacoste polo shirts and 25 rackets used by Nole.
We discover the can’t-do-without hour and minute hands set off with Super-LumiNova®, as well as the counters for measuring short-cycle time on the openworked dial. Time data is driven by a selfwinding caliber assembled using some 354 components. This movement delivers a 72-hour power reserve to this chronograph. This version stands out as the weight of the energy-giving device has been reduced by 27% in relation to the original one, thanks to the rational use of aluminum. To ensure optimal comfort anytime, anywhere, the watch comes complete with four straps that can be easily changed using the One Click system. The first, an elastic one, only weighs 49.5 g, the second a Velcro®-attached fabric one stands at 54 g, the third a Lacoste-signed tennis variation 65 g, and the last imagined in white rubber closed by a titanium folding clasp 75 g.
