THE ARTY MINUTE
The result of the encounter between an artist and a watchmaker is a limited-edition watch that showcases the expertise of both personalities, and is powered by a self-winding regulator movement.

Very rare in contemporary watchmaking, the regulator, once a precise reference clock used in workshops to set watches, is now inseparable from the Louis Erard watch brand. The latter has made it its specialty, showcasing it through a handful of collaborations with prestigious actors such as Vianney Halter, Kudoke, Alain Silberstein, Konstantin Chaykin and Massena Lab. At the beginning of the year, the company called on the recognized talent of an artist who imagined a special piece produced in only 178 copies: Le Régulateur x Sylvie Fleury Palette of Shadows.
Inspired by the works of Sylvie Fleury, the dial takes on the sleek yet colorful configuration of blush or eye shadow, usually housed in the glossy black case of a make-up palette. The dial is coated with a layer of lacquer in the same dark hue as the long minute hand hovers stealthily over it. The two domed counters are arranged in a figure-of-8 structure, with the hours on an orange background and the seconds on a fuchsia disk, each with a matching small hand.
Housed in a 39mm-diameter, 12.25mm-thick black PVD-coated steel case, the Sellita SW 266-1 caliber keeps the various displays running smoothly. This self-winding mechanical movement vibrates at a frequency of 4hz and provides a power reserve of 38 hours. The watch is secured to the wrist by two strands of varnished calfskin leather joined by a steel pin buckle, also PVD-darkened.
