AT THE TOP OF ITS GAME
Once again the watchmakers from the Joux Valley manufacture showcase their brio in perpetuating tradition through a novel caliber and case duo.
With its Master Control Chronograph Calendar, Jaeger-LeCoultre center stages its collection of watches blending classical design and practical complications. This time round, the incredibly-understated dial with its sunray-brushed silvery finish invites us to admire displays dedicated to short-cycle time measurements and to a full calendar. The day and month feature in their respective apertures at 12 o’clock. The date is hovered over by a hand in a counter at 6 o’clock where the phases of the Moon also come into play. The central direct-drive and the 30-minute totalizer, both dressed in blue, stand out to offer excellent readability. The ensemble is completed by a small seconds at 9 o’clock which brings perfect harmony to the watch’s overall stylistics. This data is encircled by a pulsometric scale.
The polished, satin-brushed 40 mm-diameter case, proposed in steel or in La Grande Rose gold®, hosts the brand new caliber 759 which highlights a barrel imagined for more autonomy. This self-winding movement, assembled with some 356 components, delivers a comfortable power reserve of 65 hours. The oscillating weight can be admired through the sapphire-crystal caseback.
To enhance its elegant style even more, the Master Control Chronograph Calendar is complemented by a crocodile or calfskin strap. Like all the references of the collection launched in 1992, this Jaeger-LeCoultre boasts the 1,000 Hours Control certification and an 8-year warranty.
