Isaac Newton subjectively defined the rainbow into 7 different colors. Hublot is repeating this exercise with the Big Bang Unico Rainbow King Gold. In this regard, bright red, fuchsia pink, ultraviolet, dark blue, turquoise, chlorophyll green, lemon yellow and bright orange are combined on the bezel and 45 mm case to create an extravagant and in no way ordinary timepiece. To achieve this result, no less than 436 stones have been selected. Eight dazzling gemstones – rubies, pink sapphires, amethysts, blue sapphires, blue topazes, tsavorites, yellow sapphires and orange sapphires – are used in this daring chromatic creation.
As with other chronographs in the collection, the time information is displayed on an openwork dial. The small seconds dial, the counter at 3 o’clock, the numerals and the index markers are also colored with precious stones. All the complications are regulated by a self-winding Unico movement, which has a generous power reserve of 72 hours. The short-time measurement is made even easier with the flyback function which enables the chronograph to be reset at the touch of a button.
The Big Bang Unico Rainbow King Gold comes with a multicolor strap, which combines natural rubber and alligator to offer a comfortable flexible fit. It has the Hublot patented One Click system which allows it to be easily switched.
