The dazzling pattern, inherent to this collection, evokes the iris of an eagle’s piercing eye. It center stages the chronograph counters and the small seconds, all dressed in black. This combination ensures that data on the harmonious scenescape is impeccably readable. The Grade X1 Super-LumiNova® topping the hour and minute hands, as well as the markers, heightens this even more. After the first version crafted in ethical rose gold, followed by variations fashioned with Lucent SteelTM, steel developed by Chopard, the manufacture has now forged the case of the Alpine Eagle XL Chrono, which is waterproof to a depth of 100 meters, in grade 5 titanium. The 44 mm-diameter case is lighter, yet just as sturdy. The wonderfully-protected Calibre 03.05-C, assembled using some 310 components, stands out through its performance. Its chronometric accuracy meets COSC standards. Its power reserve is on a par with current-day demands as it delivers autonomy of 60 hours.
