As a training ship for the Italian Navy, the impressive Amerigo Vespucci with her 2,824 m2 of sails majestically ply the seas and oceans instructing future officers. Its motto, Non chi comincia, ma quel che persevera, “Not the one who begins, but the one who perseveres” now also graces the back of Bulgari‘s newest limited edition, the Aluminium GMT Amerigo Vespucci. This model designed for travel offers a second time zone display highlighted by a colorful composition of the dial. A hand ending in a triangle points to a two-tone scale, yellow and black, situated around the hour circle. The latter, composed of markers and numerals 6 and 12, all coated with luminescent material, ensures excellent legibility under all lighting conditions.
This timepiece, produced in a limited edition of 1,000 pieces, has all the hallmarks of the collection’s references. The 40mm diameter aluminum case, waterproof to a depth of 100 meters, is capped with a black rubber bezel engraved with the iconic “BVLGARI BVLGARI”. The same material is used for the wristband. A titanium crown enables setting the time indications. The quartet of hands as well as the date are powered by the BLV 192 caliber. This self-winding movement provides the watch with 50 hours of autonomy. A way to broaden your horizons without losing your bearings.
