MUCH MORE THAN JUST A DIVER
This 2022-released model has everything it takes to dive into the deep with confidence. The two-toned, two-material 2023-vintage versions highlight its versatile character even more.
Among the tsunami of newcomers unveiled during the last edition of the Watches & Wonders show held in Geneva, a few stood out through their power to spark visual emotion. One of these, the Aquaracer Professional 200, proves that a dive watch can be a real instrument for exploring the ocean depths in total safety as well as a perfect accessory to set off chic-casual style. To achieve this versatility, Tag Heuer imagined two one-of-a-kind versions around a 40 mm-diameter steel-fashioned case. The first combines a vibrant smoky-blue dial with a unidirectional rotating bezel and a solid yellow gold screwed crown, the second, a gradient-toned black alternative boasting the same components crafted in rose gold. The resulting look flaunts a dash of elegance with sporty features.
As twilight comes around, blue-hued Super-LumiNova® paint comes into play. It tops the minute hand and direct-drive tip and sets these elements apart from the indexes and hour hand adorned with a green-glowing luminescent material. A date nestling at 6 o’clock completes the time data. Everything is driven by the Caliber 5, a selfwinding movement that delivers a power reserve of 38 hours. To ensure ultimate comfort, the rubber strap which matches the Aquaracer Professional 200 dial is attached by a steel folding clasp equipped with an adjustable extension. Basically, the watch is made to be worn anytime, anywhere, even over a diver’s thick wetsuit.
