Perfect timing for the watchmaker from Nyon which, just a month before the EURO 2020 kick-off, unveiled a connected watch specially and officially developed for this European football championship.
“Hublot loves football” isn’t just a statement but a total art of living which, in the Nyon manufacture, expresses a passion for the world’s most popular sport. As the EURO 2020 comes around, after having been postponed for a year because of the pandemic and is now scheduled to kick off on June 11 with a Turkey-Italy duel, Hublot unveils a connected watch specially and officially developed for this highly-awaited event. This 1,000-piece limited edition, released under the name of Big Bang e UEFA EURO 2020, features state-of-the-art technology which virtually opens the stadium gates to its owner and invites them, amongst other things, to watch matches real-time.
The black ceramic dial, measuring 42 mm in diameter, 12.80 mm thick and waterproof to depths of 30 m, boasts a bezel adorned with 12 flags and a titanium caseback set off with a sapphire-crystal medallion engraved with the championship logo. Its crown is used to control the various functions. A HD AMOLED touchscreen (Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode), which can be customized to match the colors of any country participating, takes on the role of dial and, via an app, transmits to the wrist everything that’s happening on the pitch: real-time tracking of matches between teams with countdown, half-time, extra time, final whistle, yellow cards, red cards, substitutions, penalties and, of course, goals. It can also give details about team line-ups and player positions on the pitch.
This connected watch is complemented by a black rubber strap attached by a titanium folding clasp which can easily be replaced for straps covered with flags thanks to the One Click system. Roll on the kick-off!
