UNIVERSAL PINK
The new Big Bang collection limited edition, fruit of the partnership between the watchmaker from Nyon and Garage Italia, exquisitely boasts its silhouette totally adorned in pink.
How could you ever grow tired of the creative energy that drives Hublot? Every newcomer is a revelation and the Big Bang Millennial Pink is no exception to this rule. This 200-piece limited series, designed hand-in-hand with Garage Italia, the studio founded and run by Lapo Elkann and specialized in bespokeness, has been a total success since it was launched as the watches are sold as soon as they exit production.
The buzz this unisex model has sparked is linked first and foremost to its delicate, metalized grapefruit-pink color, offering a dose of vitamin-boosted freshness in sync with the summertime heatwave. The Millennial Pink which features on the 42 mm-diameter aluminum case is obtained through anodization, a process which ensures the nuance is streamlined and sustainable. Only the 6 H screws which seal the bezel, the ones on the lugs and the caseband for the pushers are dressed in titanium gray, as such striking a chord with the workings unveiled by the openworked dial.
The various elements on the face of this new Big Bang also flaunt pink: hands, counters, Arabic numeral indexes and flange with minute tracker, all set off with dashes of white. Standard time data (central hours and minutes, small seconds at 9 o’clock), date (at 3 o’clock) and the chronograph (seconds in the center, minute totalizer at 3 o’clock) are driven by the HUB1280 UNICO caliber, a self-winding manufacture movement delivering a power reserve of 72 hours.
The watch is worn on a fabric and Velcro strap clasped by a sporty-style pink aluminum buckle or on a ribbed rubber one attached by a titanium folding clasp.
