THE PERFECT STROKE
With this limited edition of its timepiece capable of recording the number of strokes made, the watchmaker from Nyon is once again stamping its mark on the world of golf.
After its initial series decked out in blue, the Big Bang Unico Golf is back on the links with another exciting new model. Its imposing 45mm carbon case features an orange top layer made of texalium, a fiberglass-based fabric covered with a thin sheet of aluminum. For optimal wearability and comfort, the watch weighs only 98 grams and is available with a choice of two different wristbands. The technical band in a coordinated color fastens with a Velcro strap to perfectly conform to the wrist. The other, made of calfskin, is secured by a folding clasp.
As simple to use as ever, the scoring mechanism developed by Hublot is activated by means of the yellow putter-shaped button at 2 o’clock. This enables the total number of strokes played per hole to be registered. The result is then displayed in a window at 3 o’clock on the openworked dial. When proceeding to the next hole, pressing the button at 4 o’clock resets the number of strokes made, advancing at the same time the hole indicator located at 9 o’clock. The cumulative score increases by one stroke for each entry and can be read at 6 o’clock. At the end of a round, the system can be returned to its initial status thanks to the button that looks like a tee at 8 o’clock. With a 45° rotation, it locks, avoiding any inadvertent reset.
All the functions of the Big Bang Unico Golf Orange Carbon continue to be powered by the MHUB1580 caliber. This self-winding movement delivers 72 hours of power reserve. Enough to accompany you on an 18-hole course throughout the weekend!
