Two Swiss icons demonstrate their shared commitment to sustainable development expressed in the Hublot Big Bang Unico Nespresso Origin watch. This model is equipped with a bezel and an exclusive 42mm-diameter green case crafted from recycled aluminum. What makes it special? 28% of this alloy is derived from the famous coffee capsules. The company also contributed its expertise in the use of material by machining the case back and container in Eco-Titanium, a recycled titanium. As for the caliber, the high-performance HUB1280 self-winding movement boasts a 72-hour power reserve.
This series provides an opportunity for the Nyon-based watchmaker to unveil a new case, henceforth to accompany all its timepieces. The Greenbox stands out in that it is made entirely of solid oak sourced from a short supply chain. It is specifically designed to be transformed into a reusable item. To achieve this, its detachable interior consists of 98% eco-responsible, recycled components. It is made from fabrics, plastic threads, recycled PET, and eco-sustainable paper and cardboard. Two wristbands are included with the Big Bang Unico Nespresso Origin. One in coordinated rubber, completed with a folding clasp, is in the same chlorophyll hue. The other, made from Scafé fabric fastened with Velcro®, is the result of a second collaboration with the SingTex company. The material combines 95% recycled polyester with 5% coffee grounds!
