BLUE IS THE COLOR
After last year’s refreshing Summer edition, the watchmaker from Nyon is once again adopting the most summery of colors for an exclusive Boutique series.
During the hottest of seasons, the blue of the sky is an extension of the soft shades of the Mediterranean Sea that ends up on our wrists. To enliven, Hublot is offering jet-setters and other watch enthusiasts a limited edition of 30 watches in a light azure hue that evokes the famous seaside resort on France’s Côte d’Azur. Sold exclusively in its local boutique, the Big Bang Unico Saint-Tropez model is crafted around a 42mm diameter case machined from black ceramic. On its openworked dial, we see the emblematic hour circle with numbers and hour markers coated with a blue luminescent material. This shade also covers the minute track on the flange, the bezel made of the same material as the case, and the rubber wristband closed with a folding clasp.
As with all chronographs in the collection, the timekeeping, hour and minute hands, and date are driven by a self-winding caliber. The HUB1280 movement, made of 354 components, produces a comfortable 72-hour power reserve. Hence, the watch can be worn during the day on the famous beaches of Tahiti or Pamplona, then during the rhythmic evenings at the VIP Room or other clubs on the peninsula. It should be noted that the manufacturer also offers two distinct Boutique series, again in shades of blue, the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Ceramic Ibiza and Capri, each in series of 50.
