ENDLESS SUMMER
In Nyon, in the workshops of the manufacture, the summer atmosphere is embodied by a soft shade that the watchmaker has rubbed off on its watch ambassador, thus taking up the color block spirit usually found in the fashion world.
While the pessimist sees in the gray clouds the imminent arrival of autumn and its batch of dead leaves, the optimist looks at the sky smiling. The warmth of the sun, the memories of toes buried in the sand and salty hair, the swaying waves interspersed with laughter, he carries them inside of him like a photo album to be leafed through throughout the year. This summer eternity is also worn on the wrist: the Big Bang Unico Summer Purple, a limited edition of 200 pieces that Hublot has imagined as a state of mind, an infectious good mood.
Based on the success of the color block trend in fashion and decoration, the Nyon watchmaker chose mauve, voted color of the year, to tint the 42mm diameter and 14.15 thick aluminum case by anodizing. This light case houses the HUB1280 manufacture caliber, a 4hz automatic chronograph movement that delivers a 72-hour power reserve and can be admired from every angle thanks to the transparency of the front and back.
The dial features an hour circle with Arabic numerals and hour markers coated in a beautiful parma color and white Super-LumiNova®. The same goes for the central baton-style hands, the small seconds at 9 o’clock and the minute totalizer that includes the date display at 3 o’clock. To complete the ensemble, two matching straps are provided, one in Velcro® that is as fashionable as it is comfortable, and the other in lined rubber with a titanium folding clasp.
