Blue, the favorite color on our planet, conjures up the sky, the sea, elsewhere, and provokes a soothing visual sensation. It’s welcomed unanimously among humankind. So, it’s with good reason that these nuances have made their mark in watchmaking. The new variation of the Carrera Heuer 02T which TAG Heuer has unveiled follows this profuse trend by showcasing, for the first time since it was launched back in 2016, an azure hue on a host of its features such as the dial, which this time round is not openworked. It goes without saying that the tourbillon which rotates in a minute, is set at 6 o’clock. For measuring short-cycle time, the minute counter of the chronograph retains its position at 3 o’clock and the hour totalizer is placed symmetrically, at 9 o’clock. This classical composition is encircled by a polished ceramic bezel boasting a tachymetric scale. The presence of Super-LumiNova® on the hands and indexes ensures excellent readability even in dusky light.
The Heuer 02T caliber, gifted with incredible accuracy certified by the COSC (Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute), reigns supreme in the 45mm-diameter titanium case, waterproof to a depth of 100 meters. Its open-worked oscillating weight and a handful of its components may be admired through its sapphire-crystal caseback. This selfwinding movement offers the time data a comfortable 65-hour power reserve.
This limited series issued in just 250 pieces, is complemented by a bracelet crafted in the same satin-brushed material as its case, attached by a secure folding clasp.
