CLASSIC FUSION TAKASHI MURAKAMI ALL BLACK Hublot

A WORK OF ART TO FLAUNT ON THE WRIST

The Nyon-based watchmaker pursues its venture into the artistic realm by concluding its first collaboration with the Japanese painter and sculptor known throughout the world for his colorful, smiling daisy.

Since the health crisis exploded about a year ago, smiles have disappeared, hidden behind paper face masks which prevent us from seeing emotions on people’s faces. Fortunately though, and, in spite of current restrictions, art continues to wow, to cheer everyone up, like the famous vibrantly-colored, smiling daisy imagined by the Japanese painter and sculptor Takashi Murakami. And now, the flower with its ultra-positive personality blooms at the very heart of the Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami All Black, first collaboration between the artist and Hublot.

The case hosts the manufacture Unico MHUB1214 caliber, generally found in Big Bang watches, an automatic movement which drives the time data and delivers a power reserve of 72 hours.

The moving corolla, made up of 12 petals, dances to wrist movements whilst the pistil, with its round, happy face, set above the sapphire-crystal dome, appears to come right out of the watch to offer up its infectious smile. The two dusky, facetted hour and minute hands tick by discreetly in this three-dimensional décor.
