DEFY SKYLINE CHRONOGRAPH SKELETON Zenith

DEFY SKYLINE CHRONOGRAPH SKELETON Zenith

FUTURISTIC ARCHITECTURE

The sporty, modern chronograph from the Le Locle-based manufacture shamelessly lifts the veil on its movement to display its mechanical architecture shaped like a futuristic landscape for all to see.

Zenith‘s young collection continues to expand, as demonstrated by one of its latest creations, presented at the recent LVMH Watch Week in New York, where each of the group’s watch brands presented its most recent creations: the Defy Skyline Chronograph Skeleton. Each component of this watch seduces with the modernized vintage look of its octagonal silhouette, on the one hand, and its cutting-edge mechanics, on the other, which it freely displays on its face.

Like a piece of contemporary art, the front and back of these two new 42mm-diameter steel references have been carefully enhanced by a refined design with futuristic accents. The star, symbol of Zenith, unties its stylized branches formed by the platinum, bridges and openworked components.

Three metal-ringed counters display the running seconds (at 9 o’clock), which feed the central pair of hands, and the chronograph minutes and seconds (at 6 and 3 o’clock). These indications are provided by caliber 3600SK, a high-frequency (5hz), self-winding movement with a star-shaped oscillating weight.

The Defy Skyline Chronograph Skeleton is worn on the wrist thanks to an interchangeable bracelet, either in steel links or in rubber matching the dial, and completed with a folding clasp.
