TRAVEL MEMORIES
Redesigned for its 10th anniversary, the Parisian trunk-maker’s watch collection features new references, in gold or platinum, of three-hand watches driven by an automatic movement manufactured in Geneva.

Faithful to the traveller’s soul of the company, this art of living fashioned by Louis-Gaston Vuitton, grandson of the founder Louis Vuitton and collector of rare and unusual objects brought back from his many travels, the Escale watch carries within it this desire to survey the world. Indeed, some of the details that punctuate it clearly evoke the famous trunks of the Parisian company founded in 1854.

Redesigned in 2024 to mark its 10th anniversary, this timepiece, more discreet than its elder Tambour and often used to presenting complications, is now available in a range of three-hand models, in rose gold or platinum, and in more classic shades such as silvered white or royal blue on the delicately hammered central disk. Two of the four references in this Escale series feature dials in natural materials, such as a fragment of the Gibeon meteorite collected in Namibia, or black onyx with baguette-cut diamonds on the bezel and brilliant-cut diamonds on the hour-markers.

The trio of hands, in gold for the hours and minutes and in matching PVD-coated titanium for the second hand, hover over faceted triangular appliques and, at the cardinal points, raised shapes reminiscent of the reinforcing elements affixed to the trunks of yesteryear but also to today’s leather goods. The same inspiration drawn from the allure of such luggage, notably the studding, can be found on the satin-finish ring of the minute track. The case measures 39mm in diameter and 10.34mm thick (except for the slightly larger platinum diamond-set version) and houses the automatic LFT023 caliber, a movement manufactured by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton and wound by a gold micro-rotor to deliver 50 hours of power reserve.
