Forever in tune with the times and keeping the watch’s esthetic and engineering personality alive is the slant which the Geneva-based manufacture has taken to enchant women and men alike with this edition boasting revamped dimensions.
Thanks to its partnership initiated with the famous Italian tire brand back in 2017, Roger Dubuis whisks us off at top speed on a journey through its exuberant, sculptural mechanical realm. This year, the Geneva manufacture wishes to adorn the wrists of women and men alike by reducing the size of its Excalibur Spider Pirelli. Taking it from 45 to 39 mm. Much more than a dimensional change though, the watchmakers have actually accomplished a remarkable feat. The model’s dial-free and embraces one-of-a-kind architecture featuring a star-shaped bridge inside which the flying tourbillon twirls. And, this is exactly what this variation center stages along with its highly-sporty personality.
The RD501SQ hand-wound movement, assembled with some 179 components, proposes the same finish and reliability quality. Moreover, it delivers a power reserve of 60 hours.
In addition to this 28-piece limited red and black titanium series, certified by the Hallmark of Geneva (Poinçon de Genève), Roger Dubuis also issues its Excalibur Spider in the same diameter, in a combination of rose gold and white ceramic or absolute black titanium. These two timepieces are available in 88-piece limited editions. All are worn on an exclusive assorted strap, fashioned in rubber and decorated with a pattern reproducing the profile of a Pirelli CinturatoTM tire on the inside. All versions are equipped with a quick-release system for easily changing the strap.
