S… AS IN SUPERB
This super-sturdy yet highly-elegant variation of the timepiece which boasts the world’s slimmest automatic movement embraces all the features required to make it a must on a daily basis.
The Octo Finissimo watch, unveiled back in 2014 and quickly acclaimed as a real watchmaking icon of the decade, continually wows us through the myriad of versions Bvlgari proposes. Its masculine personality and its sporty yet sophisticated style make each release a highly-desirable timepiece to have. The new Octo Finissimo S are no exception to this rule. Their 40 mm-diameter, just 6.5 mm-thick steel case is set off with an ultra-elegant satin-brushed finish. This stylistic choice highlights the relief of the watch’s lines and its black or blue guilloché-engraved sunburst dial where time data ticks by. The faceted hour and minute hands hover over an understated hour chapter. A small seconds set at 7 o’clock informs the wearer that the caliber is working correctly. The ensemble also proposes excellent waterproofness to a depth of 100 meters thanks to a ceramic-topped screwed winding crown.
The BVL138 automatic movement is enhanced with Côtes de Genève adornments. The chamfered bridges and circular-grained disc, as well as the platinum micro rotor, are visible through the sapphire-crystal caseback. Once fully wound, this state-of-the-art device set at 21,600 vibrations per hour, and whose height is no more than 2.23 mm, delivers a power reserve of at least 60 hours.
To boost its look even more and to ensure perfect visual harmony, the Octo Finissimo S is worn on an integrated bracelet also crafted in satin-brushed steel and attached by a folding clasp.
