L.U.C 1860 Chopard

L.U.C 1860 Chopard

MASTERFUL SUCCESSOR

This upgrade of the model launched in 1997 embodies the manufacture’s DNA. It boasts timeless design yet takes on up-to-the-minute style and cutting-edge innovations.

Among the watches Chopard showcased during Watches & Wonders Geneva 2023, its L.U.C 1860 called all the shots as it ingeniously mixes the manufacture’s historic know-how and its here-and-now commitment. In a nutshell, its Lucent SteelTM case, flaunting a mere 36.5 mm diameter reflects the firm’s desire to now predominantly use recycled steel apart from in its pieces crafted in ethical gold, of course. This pared-down size fits in perfectly with the trend and enhances its elegant look. A look, highlighted even more through the hand guilloché-engraved dial, dressed in a salmon-pink hue obtained using galvanic treatment. Face-side, time data is center-staged in a somewhat understated composition. The hour and minute hands hover over an index-fringed hour chapter. A small seconds breathes life into the bottom part of the scenography. The watch is worn on a comfortable gray calfskin strap ensuring absolute exquisiteness.

The L.U.C 96.40-L caliber reigns supreme inside the case. This selfwinding movement assembled using some 176 components features a 22-karat gold bidirectional micro-rotor visible through the sapphire-crystal caseback. The twin barrels together deliver a power reserve of 65 hours. The premium quality of its finishes and of its craftsmanship meet Poinçon du Genève (Geneva Seal) criteria. As for its precision, it’s chronometer-certified by the COSC. As such, the L.U.C 1860 has everything it takes to be a great companion for any dynamic, elegant way of life.
