SENSITIVITY IS AN ART
Continuing the style of the L.U.C XPS 1860, this model, produced in a limited edition of only 25 pieces, chimes every hour, at will. Each crystalline tone emitted flourishes with elegance.
There are watches that exude a manly personality achieved through a muscular design. Others extol a certain grace. Although every aesthetic detail contributes to this perception, the particularities of the movement built into its case also play a part. The L.U.C Strike One by Chopard is one such watch. On its gray dial, the center of which is hand-guilloched with a honeycomb pattern, there is a duo of hour and minute hands along with a subdial seconds at 6 o’clock. Between 12:00 and 1:00, an aperture reveals a hammer. Underneath this harmonious composition positioned in a 40mm diameter case in ethical pink gold, the L.U.C 96.32-L caliber provides the necessary power for this timepiece to strike a tone made of sapphire, an exclusivity of the manufacturer.
To activate the bell at the passage of each hour, a discreet push on a button located in the crown is all it takes. Another press sets the function to silent mode. This complication accommodates the self-winding movement assembled with 275 components. Two superimposed barrels ensure a power reserve of 65 hours, regardless of the alternative chosen. A gold-ringed display enables a visual distinction of the current option. As with all Chopard products, precision and high-quality workmanship are the order of the day. A stop-second device guarantees an exact time setting. Its chronometry is certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC). The L.U.C Strike One also bears the Poinçon de Genève. A flawless achievement!
