FANTASTIC DUO
Brio and audacity get together for this first major collaboration between two watchmaking brands. And, the result? A scene of awe and wonder unfurls before our eyes!
MB&F and Moser, leading creative players on the trending watchmaking stage, pool their DNA to delight us with two limited editions. And, the key points both models presented share: minimalistic décor, no logos, steel cases! All the variations are issued in just 15 pieces each.
The first limited edition reproduces the stylistic lines of the LM 101 watch unveiled in 2014, which housed the first hand-wound in-house movement. 4 smoky dials epitomizing Moser’s current-day style signature were chosen: Red fume?, Cosmic Green fume?, Aqua Blue fume? and the incomparable Funky Blue. On each, the suspended balance-wheel protected by its sapphire-crystal dome comes into play. Time data (hours, minutes and power reserve indicator) is reduced to the minimum conceivable as the lacquered discs from the original model have disappeared. All the versions host a 40 mm-diameter case and a calfskin strap attached by a folding clasp.
The Endeavour Cylindrical Tourbillon stands out with its 5 highly-distinct dials (Funky Blue, Burgundy, Cosmic Green, Off-White and Ice Blue) combined with a 42 mm-diameter case from the eponymous collection. Its automatic caliber is regulated by a tourbillon with cylindrical hairspring featuring skeletonized bridges, also perceived on the Legacy Machine Thunderdome. The timepiece borrows another characteristic from MB&F’s world with a 40° tilted dial devoted to reading the hours and minutes. Here, betting on transparency, it is set at 6 o’clock so as not to disrupt the overall colored harmony. Each piece is complemented by an alligator strap.
