Faithful to its quest for excellence, Vacheron Constantin is expanding its collection of exceptional timepieces with a new model calling on multiple forms of craftsmanship. A veritable work of art, the Les Cabinotiers Openworked Tourbillon High Jewellery watch can be admired like a museum piece. Its 46-mm white gold case and its crown are respectively decorated with 238 and 20 baguette diamonds. Its silvered opaline openworked dial has an equally refined chapter ring. It is set with 48 of the same precious stones and 12 blue sapphire hour markers with remarkable intensity.
The azure shades of the gemstones is echoed in the alligator leather strap. The pin buckle and the folding clasp are both set with 12 diamonds.
The caliber 260 SQ contributes greatly to the timepiece’s esthetics. Each of the 231 components receives the most meticulous attention. Many of them are hand-engraved, bringing greater visual depth to the manual-winding movement. A sophisticated skeletonization operation has eliminated all that is superfluous. Along with these features, the mechanical architecture houses a tourbillon and is exceptional in its incredible performances. Four barrels in coupled pairs provide an amazing power reserve of some 336 hours, or 2 weeks. An indicator at 12 o’clock shows the remaining power in real time.
