HARMONIOUS COMPOSITIONS
To fulfill the desires of highly-demanding aficionados, the manufacture enhances its collection of elegant, up-to-the-minute variations, boasting novel material and color mixes.
In Breguet’s catalogue, sophisticated sportiness is epitomized through the watches of the Marine collection. All the references share mutual stylistic features such as a case with fluted case-middle, an hour chapter comprising Roman numerals, the can’t-do-without gilded moon-tip hour and minute hands complemented by luminescent markers and a direct-drive whose design is inspired by marine codes. This year the spearhead piece in this line center stage new adornments boasting material and color combinations. In short, the rose gold cases espouse slate-hued dials dresses with a pattern conjuring up ocean waved obtained using delicate hand guilloché engraving and the titanium cases take on dials with a host of blue nuances.
In these scenographies, the three hands of the 5517 model hovering over the time are driven by the 582QA caliber (with a power reserve of 55 hours) and display a date aperture at 3 o’clock whilst the time data of the 5527 chronograph and its flyback function are powered by the selfwinding 519F/1 movement (48 hours’ autonomy). The musical alarm and second time zone of the 5547, equipped with a 40 mm-diameter case, is also available in these two novel variations. Each mechanism integrates a silicon balance-spring, immune to the negative effects of magnetic fields, and hosts a gold oscillating weight.
All 2021 vintages of these timepieces are worn on a choice of leather strap or a bracelet crafted in the same material as the dial.
