Since 2005, each new reference added to the Master Collection brings to the fore the DNA of Longines. The latest models introduced with their elegant individuality are no exception to the rule.
2022 provided Longines with the opportunity to express its dynamism with the Spirit Zulu Time, Spirit Pioneer Edition, and of course the Ultra-Chron. This year-end also enables the winged hourglass brand to celebrate its 190th anniversary with a number of elegant limited series offered in The Longines Master Collection. Among this flurry of novelties, one has not hit the headlines yet, however, it is worthy of our full attention, the Master Collection 42mm. The reason? These variations feature a refined aesthetic achieved through a seductive scenography. On sleek black, silver, or green dials, an elaborately designed hour circle with elongated applied Roman numerals is punctuated by the delicate polished hour and minute hands. Together with the minute track located on the bezel, the large aperture thus created ensures excellent readability. Even the date judiciously situated in the extension of the 3rd hour marker does not burden the composition.
As for the mechanism, the 42mm diameter and 9.64mm thick steel case houses a reliable self-winding movement oscillating at 25,200 vibrations per hour. The L888 caliber provides the timepiece with a 3-day power reserve of 72 hours. Precision and performance are the order of the day. As with Longines, elegance is not at all optional. Each version of The Longines Master Collection 42mm watch can be worn on a metal or leather wristband, in blue, brown, or green. All are closed with a folding clasp. A perfect harmony!
