MÉTIERS D’ART VILLES LUMIÈRES TOKYO Vacheron Constantin

TOKYO VIEWED FROM THE SKIES

New opus issued as a limited series in this collection where the worlds greatest cities are unveiled under a delicate, precious chiaroscuro. A citys just as beautiful at night!

After Geneva, Paris, New York and Beijing, Vacheron Constantin pursues its incredible journey inaugurated in 2016 flying high above the world’s greatest contemporary cities and invites us to visit a new destination, the Japanese capital. Remaining true to its previous creations, the Métiers d’Art Villes Lumières Tokyo watch offers us a nighttime view of the metropolis. Besides the city’s bay, the luxury boutique district of Ginza, the iconic Tokyo Tower, Kasumigaseki and Nagatcho political centers, Rainbow Bridge, as well Roppongi famous for its vibrant nightlife are all illustrated on the intensely-hued, Grand Feu champlevé enameled and translucent-enameled dial. Like in the previous editions, to make the nighttime scenescape illuminated by building lights dazzle, the Japanese artist Yoko Imai hand-applied her precious-stone (diamonds and pearls) and metal (gold and platinum) powder with pure delicacy.

This automatic movement powers the openworked hour and minute hands and the centrally-set direct-drive. Once fully wound, it delivers a power reserve of virtually 40 hours. Like all the references in this collection, the timepiece has been granted the exigent Hallmark of Geneva (Poinçon de Genève) certification.
