STYLE AND PERFORMANCE
The manufacture, official timekeeper of the event since 1988, rolls out a resolutely-collector 100-piece limited edition, available only in Italy.
As the 1000 Miglia 2024 comes to a close, let’s zoom in on Chopard which, like every year before the race, unveiled a series boasting the competition logo. This time round, the Mille Miglia GTS Chrono Limited Italian Edition center stages its sporty spirit through enthralling high-tech and esthetic features. On the dial, dressed with a frosted slate-gray, obtained using galvanic treatment, we discover the chronograph counters in a vertical setting. These are accompanied by the small seconds at 9 o’clock and the date display at 3, whilst the hour and minute hands hover over markers making up the hour chapter. These coal-hued elements are enhanced with a Super-LumiNova® paint to ensure they’re perfectly readable under any conditions of light. This data, encircled by a tachymetric scale running round the flange, is hosted in a 44 mm-diameter, microblasted grade 2 titanium-crafted case, waterproof to depths of 100 m, and set off with an aluminum bezel.
Time information is ever-so accurately driven by a selfwinding caliber that delivers a 48-hour power reserve. Like the other pieces in the collection produced by the manufacture, this reference’s chronometry meets COSC criteria.Chopard, forever pursuing innovation and, wishing to further its environmental protection commitment, accompanies this limited edition with a strap fashioned in SEAQUAL®, a fiber made from recycled sea-sourced waste.
