A collection of Manufacture Piece watches is waiting to be discovered behind the acronym MP, where each piece is infused with the Nyon watchmaker’s multifaceted savoir-faire and exceptional engineering consorts with sophisticated design. In 2017, Hublot unveiled its impressive MP 09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis followed by upgrades imagined using different materials, such as titanium King Gold as well as black 3D carbon. This year, the Art of Fusion which the watchmaking brand excels in, enables it to enhance this collection with four highly-colored novel pieces boasting yellow, green blue and red. The MP 09s’ 49 mm-diameter 3D carbon cases, colored directly in the solid material, combined with a titanium case-middle and caseback gift these watches with a resolutely up-to-the-minute, sporty personality.
The majestic HUB9009.H1.RA caliber comes to life inside the futuristic-looking case. This complex hand-wound mechanical movement stands out in particular with its bi-axis tourbillon. The double rotation of the regulating device, set at 6 o’clock on the skeletonized dial, and twirling once every minute and once every 30 seconds, captivates and wows. The motor, assembled using some 356 components, delivers a power reserve of 120 hours to the off-centered pair of hour and minute hands and to the date display. An indicator at 9 o’clock informs of the remaining energy available.
Each MP 09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis 3D Carbon is created in just 8 pieces. Each of these is worn on a case-matching colored rubber strap attached by a folding clasp.
