Art and material.
The manufacture, forever questing casually-elegant statements, began expanding the realm of stylistic possibilities in 1993 through an avant-garde material and color combination. The Roman brand revamps the personality of one of its iconic watches, the Bulgari Bulgari, which features novel adornments focusing on a never-seen-before blend of gold and carbon. The original material-fiber patterns boasting anthracite gray hues are judiciously set off with touches of gold. This exquisite finish, known as Carbongold, henceforth breathes life into two Octo Finissimo collection masterpieces. Both flaunt a 40 mm-diameter case along with a dial and integrated strap in carbon. Their polished rose gold crown is topped with a black ceramic insert. Their openworked hands, elongated markers and numerals standing out with their golden robe brighten up the time data layout. The Octo Finissimo Carbongold Automatic is driven by the extra-thin BVL 138 caliber. This selfwinding movement, just 2.23 mm thick, delivers a generous power reserve of 60 hours.
Performance and style are also on the agenda when it comes to the Octo Finissimo Carbongold Perpetual Calendar. The automatic BVL 305 caliber masterfully animates the rotations of the hour and minute hands. This mechanism also powers the hands dedicated to the days and the months in their respective counters, as well as the leap year one and the one related to the central retrograde date display. The watch needs no adjusting before 2100! With these two Octo Finissimo Carbongold pieces, Bulgari’s creative heritage yet again illustrates its get-up-and-go spirit.
