Rome wasn’t built in a day. How can one not associate the famous aphorism with the Octo watch by Bulgari? Since 2012, this model has stood out thanks to its sophisticated design highlighted by a seductive geometry. Its curves echo its sculptural lines, its delicacy, and its audacity. Each model is firmly rooted in the times. The new Octo Roma Automatique unveiled this spring continues along this path. The design has significantly evolved. Still, every detail plays a part in enhancing the versatile, chic, and casual look. Brushed satin finishes contrast with polished surfaces. The redesigned screw-down crown blends into the case middle. The dials are in timeless shades of blue, white, and even anthracite. All are finished in the traditional Clous de Paris style.
The iconic case, here 41mm in diameter made of steel, houses the BVL 191 caliber. The self-winding movement delivers 42 hours of power reserve. This same autonomy brings to life the Octo Roma Chronograph powered by the automatic caliber BVL 399. Developed and assembled in the manufacturer’s workshops, this movement is fitted into a 42mm case with similar aesthetic qualities. This mechanism precisely coordinates the hour and minute hands, the time display, and the date. To ensure optimal legibility, the sunray counters of the first chronograph in the Octo Roma line contrast with the refined watch pattern of the blue or black dial. Both of these new releases are worn on a metal wristband. A rubber bracelet alternative also comes with each watch. A convenient system enables switching from one to the other with ease. More than ever, elegance is all about style and choice.
