NATURAL DISTINCTION
The manufacture welcomes a new limited-series-issued member which stands out with an elegant presentation of its functions to its highly-select club dedicated to collectors.
The Patrimony Moon Phase Retrograde Date, unveiled in two variations, one in grey gold, the other in rose gold, joins the Collection Excellence Platine. Since 2006, this Vacheron Constantin-signed range has been welcoming timepieces designed as limited editions. Their particularity? They all boast a dial, a case, a crown and a strap clasp fashioned in 950 platinum. This precious metal is therefore omnipresent in this reference. In addition to the fine baton-style hour and minute hands, a blued hand hovers over a graduated semi-circular scale set between 9 and 3 o’clock featuring odd date numerals. At 6 o’clock, the age and cycle of our satellite are revealed by a crescent moon-shaped aperture. Its mechanism is so accurate it only needs a one-day adjustment every 122 years.
All the time data is driven by the 2460R31L caliber. This self-winding movement, combining 275 components, nestles in a 42.5 mm-diameter, 9.7 mm-thick case. Once fully wound, it delivers a minimum 40 hours’ power reserve. To ensure perfect ease-of-use, all the settings of this cutting-edge engineering masterpiece are adjusted ever-so simply via the crown.
The 50 pieces of this Patrimony Moon Phase Retrograde Date just like all the models in the Collection Excellence Platine are complemented by a blue alligator strap. The manufacture’s excellence has once again been acknowledged as seen by the presence of the Hallmark of Geneva (Poinçon de Genève).
