PR516 & PR516 CHRONOGRAPH Tissot

PR516 & PR516 CHRONOGRAPH Tissot

THE ESSENTIAL, IN STYLE

The Le Locle-based watchmaker adds attractive newcomers to its range, with some in perfect sizes for any type of wrist and, as always, with can’t-beat pricetags, and totally Swiss Made.

Since the 60s, Tissot‘s PR516 collection has been inviting customers to wrap resolutely-sporty watches around their wrists, whose design’s inspired by motor racing. The latest to date are no exception when it comes to these features. Four of these pieces display essential time data. Their black, blue, or white dials, depending on the version chosen, serve as a backdrop for the duo of hour and minute hands, and markers, all dressed up with white Super-LumiNova®. The contrast provided guarantees optimal reading no matter the conditions of light. The colored direct-drive and bezel, adorned with its scale, play their part in this dynamic look. A discreet date, nestling at 3 o’clock, completes the data.

All are driven by the high-performing automatic Powermatic 80 caliber (80 hours of power reserve) hosted in the 38-mm diameter 316L steel case, waterproof to depths of 100 meters. Metal bracelets and leather wraparounds, all easily interchangeable, heighten the versatile character of these references. Staying true to this style, the range is enhanced with a PR516 Automatic Chronograph. Its 41 mm case houses a sturdy Valjoux A05 automatic movement which delivers up to 68 hours of autonomy. This piece stands out with its elegant blue and white two-tone scenography. Two other 40 mm rose gold PVD iterations, boasting a quartz caliber, are elegant alternatives that can be used to freeze short-cycle time measurements.
