Volumes and angles. Contrast and light… a nuanced and subtle presentation plays a defining role in the style of this futuristic and masculine timepiece.
For this 14th edition of the Project Z collection, launched in 2004, Harry Winston continues with the collection’s original concept: to redefine the genre of luxury sports watches. With this latest addition, the brand once again combines innovative design that breaks with tradition and a cutting-edge watchmaking mechanism. The new Project Z14 can be seen as an extension of Project Z13, because both pieces feature a 42.2 mm diameter zalium case. This zirconium-aluminum alloy that is lightweight and highly resistant to corrosion was used for the first time for the Project Z8, launched in 2014. The shape of the case is slightly different from past offerings. For this timepiece, the bezel and arches have been chamfered to visually match the beveled finish of the skeletonized dial.
The hour and minute display excentered at 12 o’clock. The hands move within a sophisticated geometric design. The vertical and horizontal segments work together to create a linear feel. At 6 o’clock, the Z13’s retrograde date is replaced with a retrograde seconds arch. A red seconds hand runs along a 30-second graduated 120° arch in sapphire blue, the brand’s signature color. The timepiece is powered by an automatic movement (with 65 hours of power reserve).
This limited edition of 300 pieces features a textile-effect rubber strap and closes with a tang buckle.
