MORE THAN JUST A WATCH
This flagship piece, rolled out in a new mini-size diameter and still flaunting an ultra-competitive pricetag, has made its mark as a can’t-do-without accessory for a whole generation.
Following on from its versatile models boasting 35 mm-diameter cases, Tissot pursues with the variations of one of the greatest success stories of the last few years, i.e. the 40 mm PRX watch launched in 2021. The latest references to date come with the same stylistic features as their elder siblings but are center staged in a new size. The PRX Quartz 25mm has its sights set on appealing to all ladies’ wrists. To achieve this, the Le Locle-based brand invites to discover several color and material combinations that are totally in tune with the times.
The signature tonneau-shaped steel case is still waterproof to depths of 100 meters. It protects a blue, black, champagne or mother-of-pearl dial. On all iterations, the hour and minute hands come topped with white Super-LumiNova® which ensures excellent data readability whatever the conditions of light. Two references stand out with their Top Wesselton diamonds that replace the baton-type markers, in particular the full PVD rose gold one. All variations are complemented by the iconic metal bracelet that showcases the chic ‘n’ sporty personality of this watch bestseller. The X in its name is a nod to its case that can withstand pressure up to 10 bar, while the P and the R mean “Precise and Robust”. To meet these requirements, the first five variations are driven by a quartz caliber equipped with a battery End of Life (EOL) indicator. When EOL is reached, the direct-drive jumps every four seconds to let the wearer know it’s time to change the battery. P, as such, also stands for Practical.
