THE RACE FOR DNA
During Watches and Wonders, the rebellious watchmakers unveiled a new chapter in their RE-Volt collection enhanced with a sporty twist able to measure short-time cycles.
The RE-Volt Chrono whisks us off into Rebellion’s exclusive, intentional-compromise-free, cutting-edge engineering world. Its highly-streamlined rectangular titanium case boasts powerful design. Its wearer-friendliness has been imagined like a racing car cockpit promoting ever-so easy use. The timepiece’s open architecture offers a striking vista of a fully relief-worked sculptural scenography. Every single detail embraces the brand’s passion for motor racing. The hour and minute hands coated with luminescent material hover over a honeycomb-patterned dial conjuring up the grille of a supercar. Short time measurement, up to 60 minutes, is easy to trigger via two accelerator-pedal pushers. The results are displayed on the totalizer set at 3 o’clock, designed like a stylized rev counter, and on the central direct-drive. An aperture in the counter at 3 o’clock features a dragging date. A small seconds topped with a red dot at 9 o’clock harmonizes the scenescape of this ultra-graphical dashboard.
All the time data is driven by a sturdy Swiss-Made selfwinding caliber. The sapphire-crystal caseback moreover invites to admire the wheel-rim-imagined oscillating weight which also features the Rebellion logo in the center.
The RE-Volt Chrono watch is proposed in a host of brightly-colored references. Each is worn on a matching rubber strap, attached by a folding clasp.
