CRYSTAL CASE AND GREEN FACE
Featuring a distinctive structural design, the sapphire crystal case of this new limited edition of 60 watches very transparently reveals a superb manual-winding movement highlighting the hours and minutes against a green quartz dial.
Capturing the light and captivating the eyes. Playing with geometric form and shaping space. Offering the time, the moon and the stars. While the poetry is perfect, the engineering is absolutely transcendent on the new Récital 26 Brainstorm® Chapter One. As exclusivity is a privilege, this Bovet watch is only available in a limited edition of 60.
What is surprising, at first glance, is the silhouette of the 1.9 inch-diameter and 0.6 inch-thick case. Indeed, crafted in sapphire crystal for total transparency, its unconventional, so-called sloped writing desk shape takes on the form of an optical prism on an elongated triangular base with attenuated angles. Allowing rays of light to shine through, this almost invisible sheath reveals the high-precision mechanism of the Récital 26 Brainstorm® Chapter One, turning on a cutting edge design. Structured in a stair-step fashion, the manual-winding 17DM04-SMP caliber beats at a smooth frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour and provides an impressive power reserve of 10 days.
Protecting the watch’s precious face, the domed sapphire crystal shelters a tiny world of technical wonder and indicators that advance with the march of time. To start, two gilded pear-shaped hands indicate the hour and minute, punctuated by a phosphorescent pea, all attached to a green quartz dome. On the hour chapter in Breguet-type Arabic numerals, a circular die cut between 11 and 1 o’clock can be set to display the lunar phases. Two goldstone discs embody the moon while a double-faced flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock marks out the seconds. At 8 o’clock, the day appears in a chamfered aperture, in symmetrical contrast to the power reserve indicator at 4 o’clock.
