RM 07-02 AUTOMATIC WINDING SAPPHIRE Richard Mille

THE ART OF REVEALING CHARMS

Green, lilac, pink… these four delicately-stone-set upgrades, whatever their color, offer a captivating alternative and invite to delight wrists on a quest for elegance.

Opening up, modestly. Just enough to intrigue. Gracefully revealing the charms of an object gives it a new perspective. Richard Mille has been a master in this delicate exercise since 2015 when it launched its RM 07-02 Automatic Winding Sapphire collection. Four variations boasting brand new colors enhance this fascinating experience. All feature a sapphire-crystal case. This incredibly-hard translucent material requires over 1,000 hours of machining. Difficulty forges exclusivity. Only seven pieces are available for each version.

The finalized sculptural holder (5.66 x 31.40 x 11.85 mm) becomes the stage for a spectacular dial. The presence of Art-Deco-inspired adornments gift the piece with ever-so classy geometrical compositions set off with gems whose hues match or complement the green, pink and lilac tones of each iteration. Dazzling diamonds, blue and yellow sapphires add an extra dash of light. The hour and minute hands reigning at the heart of this partially-openworked scenography are meticulously driven by the CRMA5 caliber. Once again, exemplary finishes and technical performances consort together brilliantly. The fast-rotating barrel and the variable inertia balance wheel help ensure excellent timekeeping. The white or red gold baseplate and bridges, along with the variable geometry rotor are embellished with precious stones. Each component in the compact-sized movement, visible via the transparent caseback, adds to the watch’s exquisiteness. When Richard Mille‘s around, time for the ladies is seen in all its glory.
