COLORS FOR THE GUYS
Fancy boosting your style a bit? Then the three new versions of these chronographs are definitely right up your street with their solid ceramic case, smoked dial and XL-sized numerals.
Following on from its trio unveiled in 2019 and adorned with camouflage colors, Audemars Piguet now showcases new references from its Royal Oak Offshore. What’s so special about them? These chronographs boast a blue-, green- or gray-smoked dial set off with a black flange. These hues cover the manufacture’s famous “Méga Tapisserie” checkerboard motif. Two of these timepieces offer a somewhat casual style with their 44 mm-diameter black ceramic case and their two pushers and screwed crown flaunting the same color as their face. The pusher-protectors are crafted in titanium. As for the 3rd model, elegance comes highly into play through its rose gold bezel and pusher-protectors whilst the case, the pushers and crown are fashioned in black ceramic.
These three timepieces host the 3126/3840 caliber, assembled using 365 components. This selfwinding mechanical movement, delivering a power reserve of at least 50 hours, drives the hour and minute hands coated with luminescent material. These hands hover over a novel hour chapter comprising XL-sized Arabic numerals which replace the classical indexes specific to the collection. This mechanism measures short-cycle times which are totalized in counters displayed at 6 and 9 o’clock.
The Royal Oak Offshore models, waterproof to depths down to 100 meters, are all complemented by a rubber strap featuring imitation-textile details, matching the color of their respective dial and clasped by an ardillon buckle.
