DIVER WITH REGATTA OPTION
Just like the high-speed foilers that battle it out to win the oldest trophies in the world, this special edition created exclusively for the event boasts a host of innovations.
The verdict’s been rendered for the challenger final. The Italians of Team Luna Rossa, who defeated Ineos Team UK, will have the opportunity to take on the New-Zealand holder of the America’s Cup from 6 to 21 March this year in Auckland Bay. Omega, official timekeeper of this 36th edition, is once again present on the water with its Seamaster Diver 300M America’s Cup Chronograph. This timepiece, cut out for competition, created around a sturdy 44 mm-diameter steel case that’s waterproof to depths of 300 meters, has everything it takes to resist strong pressure and any swell. A white-enameled dive scale topping a blue ceramic unidirectional bezel ensures perfect readability under any conditions of light as do the large skeleton-sword hour and minute hands and round indexes, all coated with Super-LumiNova®. The pushers for measuring short-cycle time offer a soft touch thanks to the rubber used for fashioning them. The Chrono Lock system on the case-middle prevents any accidental use of the chronograph functions.
The watch dial with its wavy design stands out with a totalizer enhanced with a regatta countdown timer. This timer and all the featured time data are driven by the Omega selfwinding 9900 caliber (60-hour power reserve).
The dive watch is delivered in a gift set accompanied by a rubber strap and a metallic bracelet, both equipped with the Quick Change changing system.
