With this new, exclusive collaboration with the American sports equipment manufacturer, the brand from Le Locle revisits its diver’s watch with a design inspired by basketball.
While its black circular brushed dial features the well-known layout to display time information using large hands and markers coated in white Super-LumiNova®, the unidirectional rotating bezel on the Seastar Wilson® WNBA creates a surprise. A scale highlights the 24 seconds during which a basketball shot must be attempted when a team is in possession of the ball.
This nod to this team sport is not the only one in this collaboration between Tissot and the official ball supplier for the women’s national basketball association in the United States. The watch can be worn on either of two easily interchangeable straps provided in the box, one orange and one white, made in the same fabric as that used for WNBA Evo-NXT balls by Wilson®.
On the back of the 40mm-diameter steel case, water-resistant to 300 meters, the sapphire crystal back is decorated with the lines of a ball from one of the most popular sports in the USA. This case, designed to cope with the excitement of the game as well as the depths of the sea, effectively protects a Powermatic 80 caliber. This automatic movement has exceptional performances and a generous 80-hour power reserve. This versatile edition comes in a version powered by a Swiss-made quartz caliber. It features a white dial and a solid back adorned with a ball engraving.
