In 2016, Hublot broke new ground with the Big Bang Unico Sapphire. For the first time, the manufacturer’s watch played the card of absolute transparency. To accomplish this masterpiece, the entire case middle, bezel, and case back are crafted from blocks of sapphire. This exceptional watch lets the light flow through, revealing its proprietary caliber from every angle. This year, the watchmakers’ skills were once again called upon to create the Square Bang Unico Sapphire, produced in a 250-piece limited-edition. The specific shape and structure of the case presented a delicate challenge. Yet, the challenge was met with flying colors. The architectural lines of the square case made of polished synthetic sapphire transform each piece into a contemporary work of art.
Different and yet so similar, the Square Bang Unico White Ceramic and Square Bang Unico Black Magic models emphasize another of Hublot’s technical achievements. Highly complicated to machine, monochrome ceramics require unfailing dexterity and considerable expertise. White of utmost purity and black of intense depth enhance the Square Bang’s sporty chic beauty. All of these watches are equipped with a matching rubber wristband fastened with a folding clasp. To take advantage of their functionalities, they are all powered by the self-winding MHUB1280 UNICO 2 caliber.
