BLUE, WHITE, RED
During the Tour Auto, which takes place on the roads of France, Rebellion unveiled an ultra-limited edition of 20 pieces flying the colors of the event.
The Tour Auto is a unique motor sport event in France. It has been running for 28 years and, each year, cars which participated in the now defunct Tour de France Automobile between 1951 and 1973, gather to compete along a 2280 km course. In 2019, the performances of the 240 competitors over the five stages were recorded by the new official timekeeper of the event, Rebellion. To mark this event, the young Swiss brand released a limited edition of its entry-level model. The Twenty-One 3 Hands Tour Auto combines a light gray dial stamped with the race logo and a 46.95 mm steel cushion-shaped case. The watch also differs from the original model in terms of its strap. This is a combination of a black rubber base topped with the colors of the French flag, made from white leather decorated with two lines, one blue and the other red.
The movement consists of the original self-winding mechanism which powers the hour, minute and second hands as well as the date at 3 o’clock. With a frequency of 28,800 oscillations per hour, this caliber guarantees a power reserve of 38 hours once wound.
Only 20 pieces of this Twenty-One 3 Hands Tour Auto version have been produced.
In the run-up to the rally, Rebellion also released two other 50-piece limited editions. The Wraith Drive and Re-Volt models formed the basis for these exclusive versions decorated with the same three colors.
